A few things we learned during our post-tax season relaxation trip to Disney. These lessons might be helpful for your own planned trips.
1. Disney isn't relaxing with a two-year old; fun, memorable, entertaining, moments to cherish, but not relaxing.
2. A backpack is essential. Sorry Kimberly, should've shared this with you prior to your own trek to the Happiest Place on Earth.
3. Four days at the park is too much for a two-year old, and for her 30-year old parents. All six of our feets hurt by the end of the trip.
4. A Bugs Life in the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom is scary, and will likely petrify your child in all subsequent darkly lit theatres.
5. The character lunch at Cinderella's castle is worth every penny...will post pics on my Day 2 post.
6. Finding Nemo and The Lion King shows at Animal Kingdom are both fabulous....particularly if you haven't already scared the living daylights out of your toddler at Bugs Life.
7. Buena Vista Palace is a mediocre hotel. An LXR property, the rooms are small, but decent, if not a bit dated. The $15 daily resort fee wasn't worth the cost....we didn't have enough waking hours in the hotel to use the free internet, and the shuttle to the parks requires MUCH to much waiting. Overall, the rate was decent, and the location fine.
8. Arriving at the parks at opening time is ideal (this one is for you, Blaine). Day 3 - We drove ourselves to Epcot, arrived a mere five minutes after getting in the car, parked in one of the first 20 rows and walked right in.
9. Pack ponchos, umbrellas and rain boots, and acquiese if it rains....it is okay to forfeit some of your day to stay dry.
10. Character visits are essential. Spending time with the characters was, by far, Logan's favorite thing in the world. I'm fairly certain she wanted to take the 5-foot Mickey Mouse home with us.
As our Mom's Day gift to my mother, sisters and I, along with Logan, are heading back to Disney for this weekend....to use the last day of our tickets. Since I'm sure I will have more pictures, I felt an urgency to get a few of these posted before leaving (hence the reason for a post-midnight post).

Love it! And I agree on the shuttle thing...if you miss it by a minute, you're waiting way too long for it to come back around. Have fun this weekend with your "lessons learned!" :)

You should have known #4 wasn't going to go over well after Jack had the freak out in the same show when he was 2 and we went with you guys! I LOVE these pictures. They made me laugh and the one of her sleeping, plus the one above her of her a daddy walking and holding hands are so precious!!!
U kive these pics! Logan is too precious! Love the one of her on Blaine's shoulders :) I feel like every trip you learn lessons! Thanks for sharing all of yours! P.S. We are doing Cinderella's castle next time and am thrilled to hear it was worth it!!
