This Kiss

Just a quick pop-in to share a few thoughts about the Royal Event. Wasn't it just amazing?!?! Her dress, the pomp & circumstance, their nerves, the blush on his cheeks, the sideways stolen glances and of course, the second kiss - picture perfect.

I know there are serious issues happening around the world right now {and much suffering in the Southeast due to horrific weather this week} and my Royal Obsession has not found me forgetting these people in prayers, but for a few hours this morning, my heart has beat a bit faster watching this "commoner" marry her love and fulfill every girl's fantasy. Speaking of fantasy, CLC has her sights set now on her own royal affair; Mum Meredith shares here - hee hee.

Like many girls, I've always secretly loved the Royal Family. I can recall a certain grade school project recreating the Crown Jewels {my mom MIGHT have been the one actually making it}, I remember watching Lady Diana change the face of royal women and remember coming home from an evening out to learn of her tragic death. For years, my own Mum promised a trip to London to see the real life Crown Jewels, and we happily enjoyed the jaunt over the Pond in 2001.

LE and I shared this wedding together today {she didn't get up quite as early as her silly Mum, but she still got to see the recession, carriage ride and of course the first kiss{es}. She tired and by 8:26 am EST was requesting Strawberry Shortcake. Thanks to the DVR running, I obliged {knowing I can gluttonously watch the rest of coverage later tonight}. Moments ago she returned from playing in her room to find the royal coverage back on the TV and stated, "Not THIS again!" How could our princess already tire of this?

Speaking of our Princess, my Royal Obsession finds me wondering what I will need to do to ensure she goes to University here? Tax Man, think we can swing it? {How much have the school's list of applicants have grown in recent years?!?!}.

Hope your weekend is full of regalia and tiaras!
