A Busy Bunny

Aren't the days leading up to a holiday weekend full of fun? Ours were full of hunts and gatherings of good friends, crafts and cooking; and these chicks were quite busy. If you ask the Tax Man, he'll tell you I find the stress strangely satisfying and typically throw in a few last minute activities just to up the stress caliber. Easter weekend was no different.
First, we had the Egg Hunt and Easter Party at school....

They are off {and have no clue a few mommies are standing in the corner taking photos}.
That little smirk says "I've spotted my mommy." Check the handful of eggs....to circumvent any arguments over eggs, they all deposit their finds to one big basket and eggs are evenly distributed to individual baskets later in the morning. Something tells me these teachers have been doing this a few years :).
Sweet little E...
Love that smile of happiness at spotting her mommy.

Then for a bit of bunny cookie cutting....

And bunny cake creating {I had no temptation to bake this bunny since I smartly gave the pan away to the JLT Whale of a Sale. Hopefully another over-achieving Chick had 'fun' creating that cake}.

Nana came over to the house to do this froject with LE {she is naked as we were dying eggs at the same time and didn't want to ruin our outfit, not because we run around in panties at home :)}.

Quality Control...

A last minute Easter treats addition - Bunny Bait {white chocolate melted over popcorn with pastel m&ms and edible confetti....pretty cute, huh?}.

And then off to another egg hunt....

Liam testing out the tastiness of his BIG basket :).

Look, mommies to make it in the shot occasionally!

Checking out the loot....
We left this hunt and headed for a family birthday dinner - a busy, busy Saturday, but full of smiles nonetheless!

First off...your egg decorating skills are impressive. {Noted for future Easter parties!} Secondly...that bunny cake is so stinkin' cute with the busy bunny half-dressed decorating it! That is a really sweet picture with your mom in the background helping LE on the froject. :)
